Nergård produces whole salted fish
from Cod and Saithe. Salted fish is produced
in one of 8 factories, from Lofoten in the south
to Finnmark in the north, the yearly production
beeing approx. 5000mt.

Cod is one
of the most common and economically important
marine fishes in Norway, being a good source
of protein, vitamin B12, selenium and having
a healthy balance of sodium and potassium, makes
it one of the best seafoods on the market.

SAITHE Pollachius virens - Sei - Lieu noir - Köhler
Saithe is
both a pelagic and a demersal fish. It swims
in shoals, which can be enormous in good habitats
with plenty of food. Like the other fish in
the cod family, Saithe is an outstanding source
of protein.
